The value of the information becomes most evident when something goes wrong or to document the computer's configuration for insurance purposes.

You may run the program directly from the BeLarc site, of course, but for security purposes, we always recommend that you download the program to your computer and then run it from there. It's your choice.

Prior to running the program from your computer or the Internet, attach all peripherals (printer, etc.) that you normally use. As stated on the download page:

The operation may take several minutes. When it completes, your web browser will open with the details. Please print that page and store it for future reference.
