HOW TO ADD A LINK ON OUR WEB SITE

A Computer Club of Menifee Valley (CCMV) "How To..."

2007-01-25

To make your page appear on the CCMV web site, you must let the webguy know the page's address. A simple way to inform the webguy (and anyone else) is available when you have the document on the screen.

Note: This is a one-time requirement. After the link is established, you can edit your document and "re-publish" it at any time. Your updated version will then be seen when people visit it.

Open the document.

This one was
used in prior
examples.

Click on
Collaborate

You'll see this
screen.

From here you can
invite others
to edit the document
and/or view it.

We only want to
allow viewing,
so we'll work with
the lower part of
the screen.

Enter
webguy@ccmv.net
In the box shown.

If you also want
others (friends,
relatives, etc.) to
view it, add their
addresses, too,
separated by
commas.

After entering all
the e-mail addresses
click on

Invite these people

A confirmation box
will pop up.

Click on OK

You'll be given the
chance to add text
to the e-mail that
will be sent to the
invitees.

Enter something if
you choose and
then click OK.

The people you've invited will receive an e-mail that includes a link to the page. The webguy will verify that you're a CCMV member and then post the link in the Personal Pages section of the site.
